EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Brainspotting are forms of Brain-based psychotherapy that enables people to heal the symptoms of an upsetting emotional experience or physical injury by using Bilateral eye movement, auditory sounds, tactile stimulation and Biofeedback technology. While EMDR utilizes the movement of the eyes, Brainspotting locates points in the client’s visual field. Both clinically advanced techniques help to access unprocessed trauma in the subcortical brain which targets the disturbing experiences that remain stuck in ones brain and nervous system. For athletes, this disturbance often shows up as performance problems on the field.

My services help athletes in clearing mental blocks, sports performance problems, physiological stress responses that remain stuck in the nervous system, cognitive anxiety (concious) or body aurousal (unconcious). Treatment will help to regain refined motor skills, decrease reaction time and increase reflexes in your speed, ultimately allowing the athlete to perform in their Flow State, aka, The Zone.

I offer Intensives as a way for the athlete to get a jump start on their treatment. Intensives are also for athletes who have limited time and or need to fly into San Diego to receive treatment allowing for an efficient treatment experience.
